These prices are a guideline. At the time of writing this, prices of cabling and fuse boards for example have increased by around 50% in the last 12 months. This has been due to a combination of Brexit, Covid-19 and the Suez Canal blockage causing supply chain issues.
When we rewire a house, the walls have to be ‘chased’. We offer a plastering service to cover the new cabling. This work needs to be completed between the first electrical fix and the second electrical fix. Plastering costs are based on how much wall chasing is required. The amount of wall chasing is determined by how many sockets and switches are required.
A client can choose to do their own plastering or get their own contractor. We would just ask that any outside contactor fall in with our time lines. Any plastering delay will delay us from completing the second electrical fix.
The below prices will also show a guideline to the envisaged plastering costs.
